Our Stories - South Park School

South Park School in Ayr is spoiled for choice over how to spend the £2500 kindly donated by the Teddy Bear Foundation. Depute Head Bernadette Casey decided to ask the kids what they wanted her to buy, so she spread out a range of catalogues on the table and asked for their suggestions.

"It's a nice problem to have," said Bernadette.
"We were the first special school in the whole of the UK to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme.
"Sometimes, we take children up to the hills with leaders and stay overnight it's quite exciting.
"There is always a need for more IT equipment, new software which really helps the children learn.
"And there are some who would like something spent on colourful outdoor play equipment."

The school takes in 52 pupils, equally split between the primary and secondary departments.

Girls at South Park School in Ayr search catalogues to see how they want their money spent.
